Company: Market leader providing tempory and permanent recruitment services within the Construction, MEP, Rail and Civil Engineering industries throughout the UK are seeking a Business Development Manager to promote their Construction Trades/ MEP staffing solutions.
Supporting your regional offices T&L / MEP division in its business development activity
Reviewing current PSLs and TOB agreements
Creating a target BD list of large Main Contractors and Sub Contractors
Prospect for new business, via phone and site visits
Preparing Tender documentation and proposals, TOB etc.
Aim to get onto new PSL’s and improve the performance of existing PSL agreements
Initial Client Relationship Management for large accounts
This is a sales role not a management position – you will need to be very motivated to be hands on doing the BD process and winning clients. You will not be managing any staff in this role
Consultants in the business will fill the positions that you bring in, you will need to build a strong rapport internally and work to educate team members on client requirements.
3 years plus in a BD role within construction in recruitment (preferential)
Understand the construction industry very well and have numerous contacts to tap into to make a warm start in the role.
You could also be a Business Development Manager or Commercial Manager from the building merchant background and be used to face to face or field sales in the construction industry.
Be happy to be doing pure BD/ Account Management role, without sourcing candidates. Feel at home doing visits to construction sites and building rapport face to face and on the phone.
